Greek Burger
This recipe of Greek Burger with homemade Greek seasoning is perfect for Friday night dinners whether done in your kitchen or out grilling in your veranda.

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground meat of your choice: beef, pork, lamb, chicken or turkey
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley chopped
- 1/4 cup red onion finely chopped
- 1/4 cup sun-dried tomatoes in oil, drained and chopped
- 3 tbsp pine nuts
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 2 1/2 tbsp Homemade Greek Seasoning
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 cups arugula leaves or spinach
- sliced tomatoes
- sliced red onions
- extra crumbled feta cheese
- 4 hamburger buns
Homemade Greek Seasoning
- 1 1/2 tbsp dried oregano
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1 1/2 tbsp garlic powder
- 2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 2 tsp beef bouillon powder
- 2 tsp dried parsley flakes
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 1/2 tbsp sweet paprika powder
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
Instructions
Homemade Greek Seasoning
- Combine all the spices and grind them to a fine powder. Use a spice or coffee grinder. Store in an airtight jar until ready to use.
Burger
- Combine the meat, red onion, parsley, pine nuts, sun-dried tomatoes, garlic, feta cheese, salt and Greek seasoning in a mixing bowl. Use your fingers when making the mixture until thoroughly combined. Form into 4 patties. Grill or pan fry over medium-high heat for 2-3 minutes on each side or according to desired doneness.
- Arrange some arugula leaves (or spinach) on the bottoms of each hamburger bun and place the patties on top. Top with tomatoes, red onions and crumbled feta cheese. Place the top bun on each burger and serve immediately. Add ketchup, mayo, mustard if preferred.
